The First Donation

The First Donation

The first donation window is planned to run until the end of 2022 and we will donate 1% of all orders to Ukraine.

Why am I donating to Ukraine?

It is quite obvious but there is more than meets the eye. First, obviously, no other person has the authority to take another person's life, home, possessions, land or country. There is no place for war in this world and we have to stand together with Ukraine in the face of this aggressor. As you will read, our charity partner Mondo is helping them with basic humanitarian help to get them through this war and come out victorious on the other side.

Secondly, yes I was born in Estonia and lived there most of my life. But my roots come from Ukraine. My mother moved to Estonia when she was only 3 years old and I have a lot of family and relatives living in Ukraine. A lot of my family have been lucky and could escape from the horror of war but for example, my 84-year-old great-grandmother said that she will not be going anywhere and that this is her home and she has to plant potatoes in a week. Luckily my great-grandmother lives in western Ukraine which is a bit safer but even there have been bombings in the last 6 months.

This is why Ukraine is the first place where we will be gathering donations for. We stand with Ukraine!

How will I donate?

The donation will be done through the Mondo.Org.ee organization which is a global non-profit. Mondo is an organization that started in Estonia and tries to relieve global inequality. They are in 13 countries. They focus on education, health, environmental and digital advancements in their partner countries.

We have donated through Mondo before as well as helping children in Africa to be able to go to school. We have done deep research on this organization and believe them to be a great cause and very trustworthy.

Obviously, at the moment Mondo is helping and gathering funds to help Ukraine. To help the people with whatever they need starting with medicine and ending with food and clothes. If you want to read more about mondo you can read it here!
